Steve serves as Principal for Lynn Consulting Group, and concurrently as the Chief Strategy Officer for Nupoint Marketing LLC, a strategic marketing communications firm with offices in Arizona and Delaware.  He provides strategic planning, research, marketing, and communications strategy for a variety of clients.

He is the retired Vice President and Chief Customer Officer at both UNS Energy Corporation and Tucson Electric Power Company (TEP).  Steve was responsible for customer service, corporate communications, consumer relations, community affairs and government relations for both UNS Energy and TEP. From February to August, 2005, Steve also served as the Interim President and CEO of Tucson Regional Economic Opportunities, Inc. (now Sun Corridor, Inc.).

Prior to joining UNS Energy and TEP, he spent sixteen years as CEO and owner-partner at Nordensson Lynn & Associates, Inc., one of Arizona’s leading advertising/marketing communications firms based in Tucson.  In 1994, Steve was named Tucson’s Advertising Professional of the Year by the Tucson Advertising Federation, and was inducted into the Tucson Advertising Hall of Fame in 2017.

Steve is a graduate of The University of Arizona and holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a master’s degree in Communications.  In 2007, he received the “Distinguished Citizen” Award from The University of Arizona Alumni Association and the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences. And in 2009, Steve received an honorary Doctor of Letters degree from both the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences and the College of Education at The University of Arizona.

Active in the community, Steve currently serves as member/former chair of the Arizona Early Childhood Development and Health Board (First Things First), and an advisory board member of The University of Arizona College of Medicine.  He is a former board member of Banner Heath, former board member/chair of the University of Arizona Foundation, and former chair of both the University of Arizona Health Network, and the Advisory Board of the College Social and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Arizona.

He served as Chair of Arizona’s First Independent Redistricting Commission from 2001 to 2011, and in the past has chaired the boards of both the Downtown Tucson Partnership and The Southern Arizona Leadership Council.  He was honored as Tucson’s “Man of the Year” for 2007 by the Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and has received the Arizona Capitol Times “Arizona Leader of the Year” in Volunteerism Award..

Steve’s many other civic activities, both past and present, include board membership on the Downtown Development Corporation, Science Foundation Arizona, and he is also currently a member of the DM50 support group for Davis Monthan Air Force Base.

He has been retained to consult with a variety of organizations and groups over the last fifty years.  He has worked with more than seventy organizations as diverse as several Municipios (Cities) in Puerto Rico and Big Brothers/Big Sisters in Tucson. He specializes in strategic planning, board development/relations, and retreat facilitation.

Steve and his wife, Nancy, have been married more than 54 years and have two adult daughters and one magnificent granddaughter.
