Mark Mistler

Mark Mistler retired from PNC Bank in December 2022 where he served as Regional President for Tucson and Southern Arizona. Prior to joining PNC through the acquisition of BBVA USA Bancshares, he served as President and CEO of Tucson and Southern Arizona of BBVA USA and Compass Bank for 22 years. Mistler began his career with Valley National Bank in Phoenix before moving back to Tucson in 1987. He worked in various positions with Valley National Bank/Bank One before joining Compass Bank in 1999 as the Tucson and Southern Arizona President.
Mark has served on numerous non-profit boards in the Tucson community. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Sister Jose’ Women’s Center, the Diocese of Tucson Catholic Tuition Support Organization and the Diocese of Tucson Bishop’s Finance Council.
Mark is a Past Chairman of the Board of the Tucson Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce. Other past involvement includes serving on the Boards of the National Board of Advisors for the University of Arizona Eller College of Management, Southern Arizona Leadership Council, Sun Corridor Inc., The Diocese of Tucson Catholic Foundation, Tucson Regional Economic Opportunities (TREO), Tucson Parks Foundation, Junior Achievement of Southern Arizona, St. Augustine Catholic High School and Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic School. He has also given his time to the Prima Vera Homeless Shelter, United Way of Southern Arizona, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona, and St. Vincent DePaul. Mark also coached his son’s youth sports teams for many years.
Mark attended the University of Arkansas where he earned a BS in Business Administration in 1984. He played football at the University of Arkansas where he was an All-Conference wide receiver and Team Captain for the Razorbacks. He earned an MBA from Arizona State University in 1986.
