Jose Arias was born in Tucson, AZ and lived in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico until the age twenty. He moved to Tucson to attend the University of Arizona, graduated from the Eller College of Management in 2006, and later obtained a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Phoenix. He is currently a Vice President Business Banker at First Citizens Bank. Jose has over 17 years of banking and lending experience in the Tucson Metro area as well as across Southern Arizona in industries like manufacturing, commercial, industrial, professional services, healthcare, transportation, produce distributing, import/export customs brokers, among others. His experience also includes working as a Banker for an International Financial Services division for four years, consistently traveling, growing, and retaining banking relationships of high-net-worth individuals in northern Mexico focusing on their wealth management, business, and financing needs.

Jose is currently serving as the Board President of Tucson Youth Development, Board Vice President of Greater Tucson Leadership, Honorary Commander for the 924th Fighter Group at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, and a member of the Tucson Metro Chamber Emerging Leaders. He was one of the 2020 40 under 40 honorees by the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and recently completed the 2023 Flinn-Brown Fellowship program.
