Inspired Leadership & Collective Action
SALC uses trusted metrics to measure its success and guide its actions. Our members embrace our vision and drive our mission. We work with other organizations and community members to take collective action that improves Southern Arizona. SALC is strategic in prioritizing which issues are vital to our community. In making decisions on proposed issues, SALC applies specific criteria:
  • It must be strategic and has to be important to the community’s welfare
  • It must be future-focused and complement and enhance other significant initiatives
  • There must be a reasonable chance to actually achieve an improvement or take advantage of an opportunity
  • There must be a champion who will lead the charge

Education

SALC envisions a seamless and efficient P-20 education system that promotes outstanding achievement through high standards, a rigorous curriculum, accountability and community involvement.
Infrastructure

SALC aims to improve the critical infrastructure that directly impacts the region’s ability to prosper economically and build a high quality of life for its people.
Healthcare

SALC works to address critical issues impacting the region’s healthcare and use the strength of our healthcare community as an asset for building our economy and quality of life.
Innovation Economy

SALC helps pursue the development of high-tech, high-wage jobs and supports efforts in research, tech transfer, venture capital, and emerging technologies.

SALC believes there is a significant opportunity for alignment of governance efforts locally and statewide.
