Adriana Kong-Romero

As Market President, Adriana Kong Romero serves as Bank of America’s local enterprise leader in Tucson helping to create a more sustainable future for the companies and communities that she serves. With a goal of delivering one company, Adriana works across the region to connect Bank of America’s business lines to deliver integrated financial services to individuals, families, and businesses. Adriana also leads Bank of America’s corporate social responsibility work in the region, which leverages the unmatched capabilities of the company to help partners, people, communities and a broad client and customer base more effectively address a wide range of issues.

In addition to her market president role, Adriana is a Sr. Relationship Manager in Global Banking and Markets for Tucson. In this capacity, her responsibilities include leading a team of specialists focused on understanding each client’s unique needs to deliver strategic financial guidance and solutions. She has also works on growing and expanding the digital and healthcare industry focus within the company.

Adriana joined Bank of America in 1998 where she has also served as a Premier Banker and held various positions in the retail bank. She began her banking career at Chase Bank (formerly Bank One) in Douglas, AZ. Throughout her banking career, Adriana has served mid-sized companies throughout the southern Arizona area to support their commercial banking needs.

Adriana volunteers with several not-for-profit organizations focused on military, ending hunger and homelessness, and creating economic mobility. She also serves as a mentor for teammates across Bank of America as a member of Arizona MSAG (Military Support & Assistance Group), HOLA (Hispanic/Latino Organization for leadership & advancement), LEAD (Leadership, Education, Advocacy, & Development for Women), and Bank of America’s Hispanic Latino Council. In addition, she also serves on the board of directors of United Way of Tucson where she is the board vice-chair and also chair of the board development committee, Sun Corridor Inc board of directors, and is on the University of Arizona Eller College’s Center for Leadership & Ethics advisory board. She is a member of DM50 and Women at the Top (WATT). She’s been a member of the 162nd ANG Air Guardians and has also held prior roles in the Southern Arizona Heart Association’s circle of red, University of Arizona Hispanic Alumni Association board of directors where she served as treasurer, and on the YMCA of Southern Arizona Lohse board of directors. Adriana was also named to the 2020 Arizona Business Leaders in banking list by AZ Big Media.

Originally from Douglas, AZ, Adriana graduated with a bachelor of science in business and public administration with a major in Finance from the University of Arizona. She also has a master of arts in organizational management from the University of Phoenix. She resides in Tucson, AZ with her husband Frank and their two shiba inu dogs, Kan-i & Simba.
